Pupil Achievement 2026

We are proud of the achievements of our children across the school. These results reflect their hard work, the commitment of our staff and the support provided by families.

Our 2026 outcomes show particular strengths in the Early Years, science, grammar, punctuation and spelling, while also helping us identify clear priorities for continued school improvement.

Understanding Our Results

St Mary’s is a very small school, and each year group contains only a small number of pupils. Consequently, each individual child represents a significant percentage of the overall result.

The percentages should therefore be interpreted carefully and considered alongside:

  • children’s individual starting points;
  • progress across the curriculum;
  • the needs and characteristics of each cohort;
  • pupils’ work and wider achievements; and
  • the quality of education and support provided by the school.

A change in the outcome of only one pupil can alter a published percentage considerably. For this reason, direct comparisons between different years or with much larger schools may not provide a complete picture.

We use assessment information thoughtfully to celebrate success, identify priorities and ensure that teaching and support continue to meet the needs of every child.
