St. Mary’s Mission Statement
Everyone is Welcome at St. Mary’s Pre-school and Primary School.
We listen to the Word of God and from this we always try to help each other.
We Witness a loving God who is at the centre of all we do.
We care for the Welfare of everyone by encouraging them to always do their best.
We share daily Worship that helps us to develop good relationships with God, ourselves and each other.
We love to welcome everyone with a smile! We celebrate diversity in the classroom – we welcome children and families from all religions and backgrounds at St Mary’s. We’re a Catholic school but we think its great to learn about other faiths and cultures and we encourage all of our children to be respectful to everyone.
“St Mary’s is a good Catholic school, where there is a commitment to developing each child academically, socially and spiritually.”
Section 48 Inspection, February 2016
“This is a caring school where pupils’spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding is developed well through the school’s faith characteristics. Pupils demonstrate high levels of respect for one another and behave well around school. Adults and pupils care for and support each other well. The school’s values are evident in the good behaviour and positive relationships within school.”
