Every Friday at 3.00pm in the school hall, our St Mary’s family comes together for our Celebration Assembly — and parents and families are warmly invited to join us!

Our weekly awards are designed to recognise those children who have gone above and beyond, while ensuring that, across school life, every child has opportunities to be noticed, valued and celebrated. Our three special awards reflect our school motto:

• ❤️ Rooted in Love – celebrating kindness, friendship, compassion and inclusion.
• 🙏 Faith in Action – recognising children who live out our school values and Catholic Social Teaching through their actions.
• ⭐ Learning to Thrive – celebrating achievement, effort, progress, perseverance and a wonderful attitude to learning.
• 🏆 We also celebrate our Caritas Award, where children recognise the goodness they see in one another and our Headteacher’s Award for something particularly special or truly above and beyond.

We also celebrate attendance and punctuality, alongside other achievements and special moments from across school.

At St Mary’s, celebration is about much more than certificates. It is about noticing the wonderful things our children do, helping them recognise the goodness in one another and making sure every child knows that they are an important part of our school family.
