St Mary’s participates in Operation Encompass, a partnership between schools, Lancashire County Council and Lancashire Police.

Operation Encompass helps schools support children who have experienced or been affected by a domestic-abuse incident.

Following an incident, the police may share relevant information securely with the school’s trained Key Adult before the child arrives at school. This enables us to provide sensitive and timely support.

Our Operation Encompass Key Adult is:

Information is handled carefully and shared only with staff who need it to support and safeguard the child.
