Early Help

Children and families sometimes need support before difficulties become more serious. Early help means identifying needs and providing appropriate support as soon as possible.

Families may benefit from early help because of:

  • emotional or mental-health difficulties;
  • bereavement, separation or family change;
  • housing or financial concerns;
  • attendance difficulties;
  • challenging family relationships;
  • domestic abuse;
  • caring responsibilities;
  • difficulties with behaviour or routines;
  • online-safety concerns;
  • substance misuse within the family;
  • SEND or health needs; or
  • several difficulties occurring together.

We aim to work respectfully with families and, where appropriate, with other services. Seeking help is a positive action and does not mean that a family has failed.

Please speak to Mrs Jones, Mrs Cookson or your child’s class teacher if your family may benefit from support.
