Parents, carers, pupils and members of the community may contact the safeguarding team about any concern. You do not need to be certain that abuse or neglect has occurred before speaking to us.
Lancashire Children’s Services
If you are worried that a child is being abused, neglected or is otherwise at risk, contact Lancashire Children’s Services:
- Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm: 0300 123 6720
- Outside office hours: 0300 123 6722
- Report a concern to Lancashire County Council
If the child lives outside Lancashire, contact the local authority responsible for the area in which the child lives.
Concerns About an Adult Working With Children
Concerns about a member of staff, volunteer, contractor or another adult working with children should be reported to:

If the concern relates to the Headteacher, contact the Chair of Governors through the school office.
Do not investigate the concern yourself. The school will follow the statutory allegations procedures and contact Lancashire’s Local Authority Designated Officer when required.
